Fritt Ord-initiated media survey on 22 July nominated for award
The report Fritt Ord commissioned on the media coverage of the 22 July terrorist attacks from 2011 to 2022 has been nominated for the AMEC Awards.
Every industry has its prestigious awards, including the media analysis agencies like Retriever, one of the major Norwegian players. A report produced by Retriever on the media coverage of the 22 July terrorist attacks from 2011 to 2022 has recently been nominated for the AMEC Awards. The report was commissioned by Fritt Ord and presented in 2022.
Double nomination
In a variety of ways, the AMEC Awards are the media analysts’ Oscars. The 22 July project was nominated in two categories: “Most effective planning, research and evaluation in the public and not-for-profit sectors” and “Most impactful client recommendations arising from a measurement study”.
The award emphasises robust methodology.
Norwegian media history
“We worked for nearly a year to filter and analyse the coverage, which basically consists of more than 500 000 stories in the Norwegian media. The report has become important documentation of Norwegian media history and has also received extensive media coverage," comments Ingunn Vålandsmyr, assistant head of analysis at Retriever.
